학교도서관을 위한 한국십진분류법 분류항목 수정전개에 관한 연구 - 총류 및 문학류를 중심으로 -

초록
이 연구는 학교도서관에서 어린이자료의 많은 부분을 차지하는 총류와 문학류를 중심으로 어린이관련자료의 분류에 적합한 한국십진분류법의 수정전개 방안을 제시한 것이다. 이를 위해 국내·외 학교도서관이나 어린이도서관에서 어린이관련자료의 분류표 개발사례 및 문제점에 대해 살펴보고, 한국십진분류법의 표준구분표, 문학형식구분표, 총류, 문학류 등에서 사용되고 있는 분류항목과 초등교과서와 같은 어린이관련자료에서 추출한 용어에 대해 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년 학생들을 대상으로 용어의 이해도를 비교 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 분류표 수정전개의 원칙과 방법을 마련한 후, 유별로 학교도서관을 위한 한국십진분류법 분류항목의 수정전개 방안을 제시하였다.

Abstract
This study presents revision scheme of Korean Decimal Classification appropriate for classification of children-related materials, mainly centered on general works and literature occupying the majority of children-related materials in school libraries. Towards this goal, I have studied the development and use of classification system for children-related materials available in domestic and overseas school libraries or children’s libraries, and researched elementary school 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students’ degree of understanding on classification item terms and children-related materials terms used for KDC’s standard divisions, literature form divisions, general works, and literature. Based on the results of analysis, I have presented revision scheme of Korean Decimal Classification item terms and class numbers for children-related materials.
