디지털도서관 서비스의 성과지표 측정 및 적용

Application of Performance Indicators for Digital Library Services Focusing on the Analysis of ISO/DIS 11620

초록

본 연구의 목적은 국제표준 도서관 성과지표 2007(ISO/DIS 11620:2007)의 구성 및 개요, 적용된 BSC 개념 등을 검토하고, 디지털도서관 성격의 성과지표 10개를 B대학 도서관에 직접 적용하여 그 시사점을 제시하는데 있다. ISO 11620은 TC46/SC8/WG4에서 다루어지고 있으며, ISO/DIS 11620:2007은 균형성과표(BSC: balanced scorecard) 구조를 이용하여 44개의 성과지표를 관점별로 제시하고 있다. BSC 구조에 의해 4개의 관점별로 구분된 44개의 성과지표를 전통적, 하이브리드, 디지털도서관 성격의 지표로 재 구분하였고, 그 중 디지털도서관 성격으로 구분된 10개의 지표에 대하여 그 실용성을 검증하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the ISO/DIS 11620:2007(library performance indicators) in terms of structures, objectives, and BSC, and to apply the selected performance indicators to the digital library services for the case of ‘B’ University in Korea. Standardization of library statistics and of quality or performance measures for libraries is carried on within ISO in the frame of the TC46/SC8/WG4. While the first edition of ISO 11620 grouped the indicators as to service areas, the ISO/DIS 11620:2007 uses the structure of the balanced scorecard(BSC). For the study, 44 performance indicators are grouped into traditional, hybrid, and digital libraries according to the characteristics of them. Ten selected performance indicators, which are classified into digital libraries, are verified for the applicability.
