전통예술자료 아카이빙을 위한 보존 메타데이터 설계에 관한 연구

초록

광범위한 분야에 걸쳐 다양한 형태의 대상자원을 지닌 전통예술분야의 아카이빙을 위한 보존 메타데이터 스키마를 설계하였다. 이를 위해 OAIS참조모델과 PREMIS 데이터 사전 그리고 다양하게 개발된 보존 메타데이터 규격들을 참조하고 한국전통예술자료의 특성을 조사하고 분석하여 기존 규격과의 호환성을 유지하는 것을 대원칙으로 하고 전통예술자료 도메인에 대한 특징적 정보를 기술하여 보존과 활용에 필요한 최적의 보존 메타데이터 스키마를 설계하려 노력하였다. 모든 메타데이터 요소에 어떤 네임스페이스에서 온 것인지를 선언하여 지속적인 관리를 꾀했으며 참조한 모델의 원래 규격을 최대한 준용하였고, 국악원의 자료의 특성과 새로운 서비스의 제공에 필요한 요소를 새로 생성하여 기존 스키마를 확장하고 수정하여 전통예술자료의 아카이빙을 위한 최적의 메타데이터 스키마를 제안하게 되었다.

Abstract

This study designed a suitable preservation metadata for archives of Korean traditional arts. To accomplish this task, we consulted OAIS reference model and PREMIS data dictionary, analyzed various preservation metadata, and surveyed resource characteristics of Korean traditional arts. We adopted elements with namespaces, honored original definitions and scopes by not violating principles of designing application profiles, and extended elements where necessary.
